Although the government has opened up facilities for claims and loan assistance for the victims, there is no centralized organization or effort that provides legal services to victims. In post-disaster situations as observed in Samar and Leyte, the victims are in dire need of assistance.

■ Yolanda was a very powerful and destructive typhoon that hits the Philippines. There are lots of infrastructure ruined, like roads, buildings, and power supplies. The damage to the infrastructure left many areas without running water, electricity, and caused devastation to others. There was also lack of medical assistance due to the devastated hospitals. Due to severe damage, help came not only from the Government, but also from the other non-state institutions, relief organizations and other countries. The collaborations of these sectors helped a lot by means of providing the needs of the survivors. They gave funds for the reconstruction of infrastructures, new houses for the people, donation of clothes and foods, and rehabilitation for those who traumatized on what happened during the typhoon.
