severe dust storms
Explanation:
During the 30s, there were severe dust storms in North America. They largely affected areas of Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico, but the whole nation felt the effects.
It was the extreme drought with large dust storms caused by the dry weather. The drought first killed the crass that kept the soil in the place, and winds cause sand to fly around and dust particles worsened the drought even further. All of this affected the whole agriculture, ruining crops, and the soil, and killing livestock. This affected the whole food production of the US, besides affecting people’s health. There was hunger and, mixed with the Great Depression, it caused concequences all over the states.
