Lycanthropy is most often associated with werewolfs, but the physiological illness is defined as people who believe they can transform or are actively possessed by a nonhuman creature. People who suffered from this psychosis also exhibit physical changes such as pale skin, sunken eyes and have bouts of extreme thirst.
