Many historians are regarding Greco Persian War as the first world conflict. Clash of two civilizations, two continents, two political systems. Lust for power and spreading of territory led Persia to collide with Greek city-states. Greeks didn't wanted to back down, while Persians tried to make them submit. It was hard to engage in any time of diplomacy, as neither sides were willing to accept to opposite position.
