Why did the byzantines distrust western christians after the crusades

The Byzantine empire distrusted Western christians after the crusades because they saw what had happened to their lands following the crusades, where supposedly the people of the same faith had contributed to the devastation of certain parts of of their empire at the time. 

Because men thought they were all that until women finally did something about it so now they have the right to vote and the guys are big mad. PERIOD!
