Biology

- After convincing your friend how important the theory of evolution is, you tell him/her that you are learning about cellular respiration and photosynthesis now. You explain that only mitochondria, but not chloroplasts,
are found in animal cells, but that plant cells have BOTH mitochondria and chloroplasts. Your friend gives
you a confused look and tells you that your biology professor is wrong...plant cells don't need mitochondria
because ATP is made by photosynthesis in chloroplasts, so plant cells don't need mitochondria to make
ATP. What is your response? Be sure that your response explains whether or not your friend is correct,
with cunnort from material covered in chapters 4 & 5.
