Respiration rate will be higher in the mammal than in the reptile.
Explanation:
Warm-blooded animals like mammals have fixed body temperature range any deviation from this range will cause them to utilize more energy in homeostasis and respiration is needeneeded for energy generation. The implication of this is that at higher temperature, the heart rate of mammals will increase and thus respiration also to cause oxygenation of blood.
On the other hand, cold-blooded animals like reptiles cannot and do not maintain homeostasis, thus their body temperature changes with the changing environment. There is no demand on energy to maintain a specific temperature range hence the rate of respiration may not increase.
