What might occur to this particular food web if a new species was introduced? What if it was a producer, a consumer, a scavenger or decomposer? Support your answer by discussing at least two of these possibilities. How is a food chain different than a food web? Support your answer by creating a small food chain based on the information you collected in this laboratory. Based on your food web, create a trophic level pyramid. Add as many organisms to the trophic level pyramid as possible. Below the pyramid, explain in a short paragraph why you placed the organisms in a specific level with respect to energy flow. Refer back to your initial hypothesis. Did you support your initial hypothesis? Why or why not? Explain.
