explain how the ecosystem that you selected follows the law of conservation of mass and the law of conservation of energy. it is said that only about 10% of stored energy is transferred between trophic levels of the ecosystem. be specific in your explanation of how this does not contradict the law of conservation of energy.

So,here if we take the law of conservation of energy then it is well known that only 10% energy is transferred to the next traffic level and rest of energy is utilized by the organism itself. It is based on the first law of thermodynamics. And due to this whole energy of the universe is constant. 

C) Agricultural irrigation

Explanation:

Humans use more freshwater in agricultural irrigation. Agriculture needs freshwater as most of the plants need fresh water for their survival. Very few plants such as cottons, cereals, alfalfa, some grasses can live in saline water/soil.  

Most of the edible crops need fresh water for their growth and development. Agriculture needs regular irrigation for betterer yield.

Agriculture means exporting water within the foods. For example, rice needs a maximum of water.  

The saline waters can be used for the industrial, mining process, and electricity production. People use freshwater for household purposes and agricultural use. These freshwater draws from surface water and groundwater. The percentage of surface water used for irrigation is about 63. It is taken from rivers, wells, from undergrounds. As the population increase, the demand for freshwater also increases which put pressure on all type of freshwater.
