1. Building sound barriers.
2. Using fuel-efficient vehicles.
3. Rerouting airplanes.
4. Assessing impact on land animals.
Explanation:
1. There are different types of barriers that can prevent sound pollution. We usually use french and trees as the barriers to our house for aesthetic gratification. But some barriers are used to prevent noise pollution. These barriers are used in those houses which are near to airports, factories, etc. Some examples of sound barriers are green glue soundproofing compounds, soundproof drywall, soundproof foam panel, etc.
2. Some vehicles use less fuel and pollute the environment in a lower amount. Along with this, some vehicles create less sound during driving that can help to prevent or reduce sound pollution. It will be better if we use a bicycle for transportation, but if it is not possible, we can choose some vehicle which creates less noise pollution. Some such vehicles are Electric vehicles, Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, Cleaner burning gasoline vehicles, and Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
3. Sometimes, houses are present in the route of the airplanes, which cause noise pollution, the members of the houses. If the rerouting of airplanes can possible, it will help to prevent noise pollution because after rerouting, the plane will fly through that route where any house isn't present. As a result, any member of any house won't face any noise pollution. So the government should be careful about two things; Don't permit to build homes in the route of the plane or don't give permission to the airplanes to make their route over the houses or near the houses.
4. There are many land animals on which noise pollution makes hazardous effects. We know that some land animals use their own sound to navigate their route or to keep communication between them. Now, if an increased sound means sound pollution occurs, their navigation and communication will get hampered. Along with this, we know that bats don't see in their eyes. They use echos for flying. Noise pollution hampers on their movement from one place to another. If we asses the impact of noise pollution on land animals, it will help us to understand that the sound is at the level of pollution or not. By assessing the impact on land animals, we can prevent noise pollution.
