The following statements are true;
The reaction of an exploding firework occurs at a faster rate than a burning candle.The activation energy required for a burning candle is less than the activation energy required for an exploding firework.The activation energy is the energy that must be supplied in order for a reaction to occur.
If a reaction has a high activation energy, then it does not occur without an external input of energy. A reaction may be spontaneous and yet have a high activation energy. For such reactions, energy must be supplied externally before it gets started. Once the reaction is on, it can proceed entirely on its own.
Both the exploding of fire works and burning a candle are spontaneous reactions. However, exploding a firework has a higher activation energy than burning a candle therefore it is harder to explode the fireworks than to burn a candle.
The rate of the explosion reaction is much faster than the combustion of a candle.
