Answer is a cell that has double the number of chromosomes as the daughter cell.
Meiosis is a method of cell division that occurs in the germ cells (diploid). Meiosis results into formation of gametes (haploid). Therefore, as a result of meiosis the number of chromosome is reduced to half in daughter cells. The meiosis is two -step division process, meiosis I and meiosis II. Meiosis I is reductional division in which homologous chromosome separates, it means diploid cell is converted into haploid. Whereas meiosis II is equational division similar to mitosis in which two haploid cells divides into four haploid daughter cells.
