Complete Question
Match the following descriptions with the correct junction type. Group of answer choices
1. These junctions allow the passage of small molecules and ions from the cytosol of one cell to that of a neighboring cell.
2. These junctions are found in epithelial tissue where they prevent paracellular movement of molecules.
3. Intermediate filaments penetrate the membranes between two cells at the site of protein plaques forming strong linkage between the two cells.
Options
a. Tight Junctions
b. Gap Junctions
c. Desmosomes
1. These junctions allow the passage of small molecules and ions from the cytosol of one cell to that of a neighboring cell. = b. Gap Junctions
2. These junctions are found in epithelial tissue where they prevent paracellular movement of molecules. = a. Tight Junctions
3. Intermediate filaments penetrate the membranes between two cells at the site of protein plaques forming strong linkage between the two cells. = c. Desmosomes
Explanation:
The epithelial cells in the human body are made of cell junctions. Cell junctions can be defined as cellular structures that are found in the epithelial cells of the human body that are responsible for the cell to cell contact or cell to extracellular matrix contact that is present in animals.
Types of cell junctions include:
a. Tight junctions: These are cell junctions in the body that are formed when protein strands in the cells bind two cells or more together very tightly thereby helping to prevent leakages of essential substances in the body by creating a water tight mechanism in the body. Tight junctions are found in stomach ( to prevent the leakages of digestive enzymes), bladder and intestines.
2. Gap Junctions
These are junctions that are formed due to the direct connection of the cytoplasm of two cells. They are also called communicating junctions. They allow the passages of molecules, ions, electrolytes through them using the means of channels also known as pores. They are found in the cardiac muscles, nervous fibres, smooth muscles.
3. Desmosomes:
These are cell junctions that are strengthen the tissues in the body by joining intermediate filaments of the cell cytoskeletons of adjacent cells to another cell's intermediate filament. They are found present in the Cardiac muscles.

B. ozone depletion from fossil fuel use
Explanation:
The major environmental problem of tilling are changes in soil form and nutrients and release of greenhouse gas, that reduces ozone layer.
