Transposition of the great vessels (TGV) is rare but typically results in the pulmonary trunk and aorta developing in transposed positions. In other words, the aorta drains the right ventricle and the pulmonary trunk drains the left ventricle. If everything else is normal about the heart, what problem(s) would be associated with the transposition of the aorta and pulmonary trunk

shortage of oxygen in blood flowing from the heart to the rest of the body(skin turning blue),circulation of deoxygenated blood flowing throughout the body
Explanation:
Transposition of the great vessels. TGV, is a congenital disease, where two main arteries leaving the heart are reversed or transposed. It occurs when the baby is inside the womb of the mother, when the heart is developing. Normally, the the aorta is attached to the left ventricle, which transports oxygenated blood to the rest of the body,( from the lung to the left atrium, then to the left ventricle and then via aorta to rest of the body). However, in TGV, the position of pulmonary artery and aorta are switched i.e the pulmonary artery is connected to left ventricle while the aorta is connected to right ventricle. As a result, deoxygenated blood ciculates through the right side of the heart without passing through the lungs and oxygenated blood circulates through the left side of the heart and directly back into the lung without circulating to the rest of the body. As a result of this, the person will have a discoloration of the skin particularly of the body and face(cynosis)
