Specification of Null hypothesis, alternate hypothesis, setting level of significance, calculation of test statistics and P value, making conclusion.
Explanation:
When you are in a need to compare two or more groups in statistics, you have to use testing of hypothesis. There are two important things that is to be considered in the testing of hypothesis. First is the size of the sample that you choose and the extent of variability in the sample. This is useful for the determination of the differences that exists.
Testing of hypothesis helps in doing this. This can be done with the help of Five steps like, specification of Null and Alternate hypothesis. from this two, one will be selected at the conclusion. Then the next step will be, setting the level of significance. Third is the calculation of P value and the test statistics. This will be compared and at last, either Null or Alternate hypothesis will be selected.
