Which of the following best describes what is happening in the diagram above? Question 1 options:

The alveolus is a part of the lung and assists with gas exchange. The goal is to get gases into and out of the cells, so they enter our body, go to our lungs and then diffuse into our blood and travel to our cells through our circulatory system.

The alveolus assists with the movement of glucose into our cells. Sugar gets into our bodies and then moves into our blood and makes it way to our cells where it is used for cellular respiration.

The alveolus assists our body in thermoregulation. This is a part of the nervous system and when glucose and gases get in, it sends a signal to our brain that there is trouble. Our blood then works to regulate this issue to bring our body back to homeostasis.

The alveolus is a bone and you can see how it rests next to the blood vessel. It is very important to supply our bones with the nutrients we gather through our blood vessels.
