Therefore, there should be a standard name for every organism. These names are their scientific names. Every organism has a scientific name which is based on binomial nomenclature. This type of naming consists of 2 part of a species one is the generic name and other is species name.  For example, Mangifera indica is the scientific name of Mango where Mangifera is a generic name and indica is a species name. This type of names avoid the confusion of vernacular names of the organisms. Hence binomial nomenclature are important.
