What do you do when a check bounces? this has never happened to me, but i'm just curious on what are you supposed to do? so you tell the bank? let's say you sold something and a person gives you a check and it bounces, what do you do? are you just screwed from then on? ?

I would call A) the bank to find out why the check bounced and B) the place/person that I wrote the check to in the first place with an apology and then C) if they had not already ran the check through a second time I would rush to pick it up and pay the fees.
