The environmental standard of nickel in waterways should not
exceed 0.17mg/L of Ni to prevent acute toxicity to organism. The
volume of the leachate pond is estimated at 15000L. Assuming that
all the NiSO4 ends up in the leachate pond, would the
concentration of Ni exceed the standard?
