Difference between metals and non metals.

1) Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity while non metals are poor conductors.

2) Metals are hard while non metals are soft.

3) Metals have shiny surface while non metals have not.

Examples of metals are sodium and iron while non metals are chlorine and oxygen.

Location in the periodic table.

Metals are present on the left side of the table while non metals are present on the right side of periodic table.

the major points for the answer was that the sn²⁺ is reduced while the cr is oxidized and that the sn electrode is the cathode while the cr electrode is the anode.   the electrons travel from the anode to the cathode while the anions travel from the cathode to the anode.
