There are several ways to express concentration of solute in solution; grams/Liter, moles/Liter, pounds/gallon, grams/milliliter, etc. I'm guessing your problem is asking for either g/L or moles/L where moles/L is called a Molar Concentration.
Given 10 grams solute & 12 Liters of solution, concentration = 10g/12Liters = 0.83g/L.
If Molar concentration is needed, convert the solute mass into moles (divide by formula wt.) then apply to Molar Conc. = moles solute/Liters of solution.
