Why would a candle stop burning when oxygen concentration is at its lowest?

The candle will give out less light if there is a lower of oxygen. This happens because a high concentration of oxygen means that there are a of oxygen molecules near the wax. With a lot of molecules - it is likely that the molecules will bump into the wax.

Explanation: I read the story "The Night Face Up" by Julio Cortazar last year. What I liked about it was that the story had a sort of suspense to it. The story kept the reader wondering what was going to happen next! What I disliked about the story was that the plot was sort of boring. The suspension in the story was great but towards the ending, the stories plot ending wasn't that great.
