The Swimming Contest by Benjamin Tammuz is an account of an Arab kid and an Israeli kid. This occurred around the time where there was tremendous pressure between the Arabs and the Jews. Unfortunately, the Jewish man needed to observe his beloved companion, Abdul-Karim, bite the dust in light of the conflict.  

The Swimming Contest closes with the creator mulling over the way that he and every one of those present around him have lost significant information because of the demise of Abdul Karim.  

The Swimming Race is a reaction to the Israeli-Arab struggle, with the opposition between a Jewish kid and an Arab kid turning into an analogy for the battle between the two people groups in which there are no champs, just failures.

Gossip is like rumors so they can be good or bad and help the community or hurt the community.
