   The climax of Hatchet happens when a moose attacks Brian and he is hurt badly during the attack. Once he crawls back to his cave, he hears a strange sound that eventually becomes a violent storm. Soon, a tornado sweeps through the camp. Once he survives this storm, the tail of the plane in the lake is visible (because it was moved around during the tornado). He is able to get into it and get some survival gear.
