Argue for a Cause (i really suck at English and need help, you don't have to do 4 whole paragraphs. An idea or the beginning of oof the essay is fine, I just need help!!)
1. Write a well-organized argument letter of three or four paragraphs on an issue that is meaningful to you.
2. Direct it toward a specific audience: a person or group that is in a position to do something about the issue.
3. Clearly state your issue and your position at the beginning.
4. Use logical reasons and evidence to support your position.
5. Include at least two of the three following three types of appeals to convince this audience: logos, pathos, ethos.
6. Address possible counterclaims.
7. End with a call to action aimed at achieving an identified goal.
8. Use language in ways that will help convince the audience, such as rhetorical devices, appropriate vocabulary, an objective tone, a formal style, allusions, and direct address.
9. As appropriate, invent names for individuals, groups, companies, restaurants, and other relevant entities.
10. Use proper MLA format along with correct grammar, spelling, and formal tone.
11. Use either an appropriate topic of your choice or one of these:
• Write to the president of a local or national company to argue that the company should do more to protect the environment.
• Write to the owner of a local restaurant to argue that it should change its menu to offer more healthy options.
• Write an open letter to people who buy pets at pet stores to argue that they should rescue animals from shelters instead.
• Write to the governor of your state to argue that the voting age should be lowered to 16.

Other students in the class that Scoresby studied with did very well in their examination displaying their level of intelligence.
On the contrary, Scoresby hardly knew anything. His did not perform well displaying his stupidity.
Explanation:
As related by Clergyman in the passage “Luck” by Mark Twain, the paragraph “About forty years ago, I was an instructor in the military academy ………..give answers that were miracles of stupidity. I knew of course that when examined again he would fail and be thrown out”, gives us enough evidence that in comparison to the performance of other students in the class when examined, Scoresby’s performance was very bad.
According to the clergyman, who was his instructor then in school, Scoresby was not doing well in the class. The clergyman even quoted his answers as “stupidity”, “stupid head.” He did not know about Julius Caesar’s history nor was he good at Mathematics.
