Blood sacrifices have been a part of worship ceremonies for all the cultures. The mayans for example believed that the gods who created them deserve in something return specifically the ultimate sacrifice of a human life. Do you think the idea that humans were created and owe a response to their creator is reasonable?
Do you think the response owed to the Creator is one of gratitude and if so in what way can a person express that sense of gratitude for his or her existence?
Secondly is gratitude enough or should the attitude of the created toward the creator consist of something more? if so, what?
