Can you tell me what you guys think of this quote? (it's by eisenhower)
“the united states never lost a soldier or a foot of ground in my administration. we kept the peace. people asked how it happened – by god, it didn’t just happen, i’ll tell you that.” what do you think he meant? how important do you think his accomplishments were?

I think he mean't that he did mange to keep the peace but that it wasn't an easy task. "it didn't just happen" is where I draw that conclusion. Personally, I think his accomplishments are very important due to the state our foreign affairs maintained
