I would Infer that if Ernesto is described as skinny, shrank, and runty while he is in a crouching position, he probably is feeling depressed and stopped eat or is eating less.

Hope this helps!

Alright, I'll try!
Explanation:
Fear is something humans are born with. Babies are born with the fear of falling and loud sounds, but more develop as they age. Some common fears might be spiders, the dark, and scary sounds.
Some people say they fear nothing, but fear is a naturally born emotion all people feel- saying you have fear of nothing is like saying you don't feel sadness or excitement.
Fear is caused when your brain detects danger. Some people react differently- some start shaking, sweating, hiding, of freezing in place, while others might toughen up, and, despite being scared begin saying things like "Show yourself!" or "I'm not scared!". This reaction to fear is known as the fight or flight response.
Some people think a phobia is the same thing as a fear, which is incorrect; a phobia is an irrational fear, while an actual, rational fear is just called... a fear.
Most fears are learned. As I mentioned before, there are common fears. The reason they are so common is because they are usually learned. As a child, your mother or father may have been scared of spiders, and you, seeing as your parent/guardian was afraid, started to develop the fear as well.
Another type of learned fear could be from a traumatic event. If a person was caught in a burning house, backed into a small space as a child, they may start to develop the fear of fire or the fear of closed or small spaces. (Pyrophobia, and Claustrophobia)
But how does one feel fear?
well, when you see something scary, information is sent to your Sensory Cortex, for dissemination to the hypothalamus (hypothalamus is what causes the fight or flight response), the amygdalae (what causes fear), or the hippocampus. (if you watch Brain Games, you might have already heard this part of the brain before. In case you haven't, this is where negative or positive memory is stored for future reference.)
EDIT: Ik this isn't 2 pages, but you could probably add on from here right? Using wikipedia and other sources that have to do with fear might help you finish.
