Years ago, the only way to pay for things was either trading or using cash. Now your money will all be into a plastic card or on your cellular phone. Instead of writing checks, you now could send someone money online. Electronic banking is also taking jobs of people who work at a bank. While banking online, there is little need to leave the comfort of your own home, this will reduce the number of staff needed in a bank.
