Moral Codes are a series of agreements which a person follows to guarantee the survival and safety of a group or community. Morality described by the Cambridge Dictionary is “a set of personal or social standards for good or bad behavior and character. The quality of being right, honest, or acceptable". One example could be the Constitution of the United States, where the founding fathers wrote a set of agreements for the first original states. But morality goes beyond of was is rightful, it goes to the actions of a person and if those actions are contributions to the society as a whole. I believe that societies have already written moral codes; the Constitution of their country. Also, we could add the bill of human rights to all the people in the world. It is important for a society to have laws because they are the ones that could help shape a society for something better. Laws are created to protect ourselves from malicious things that could affect us.
