Identify the fragments in this paragraph by clicking on the first word of the fragment. People's lives are like patchwork quilts. A patchwork quilt is made of many small scraps of fabric. Sewn into
patterns. The patterns have wonderful names. Like bear paw, shooting star, Jacob's ladder. And shoo-fly. The
scraps are different sizes. And come from different places. They're different colors. And different shapes. But sewn
together, they create something whole. And new. Then it's a quilt that's one of a kind. Similarly, we take scraps of
time and shape them into the patterns of our lives. Our patterns have names, too. Such as childhood, high school,
college, career. Marriage, and children. We get caught up in the individual pieces. Trying to make the most of our
scraps of time. But in the end, if we use our scraps well, we can stand back. And see the whole of our own unique
life.
