story
It was dark when I tossed and turned in my bed. I was feeling a little sweaty for the heat of June didn't leave even during the nights. I got up to turn on my fan when I spotted something. From my window I could see a flicker of light across the road. I got closer to the window and opened it to discover that the house across the road from me was on fire.
I was shocked to witness such a sight and so I dashed for the phone. I called 911 and told them about my location so that they could send the fire brigade to the spot. After that I ran to the house on fire. I saw that the car was still in the parking space which meant people were in danger. I was scared at first but I knew it was the right thing and so I broke their dining room window to enter. The upper floor was on fire, so I knew that I could help people on the ground level.
I saw someone hiding passed out in a sofa and so I carried the man outside. Next I heard that someone was yelling from upstairs. Thankfully the fire fighters got there just in time to help the mother and daughter stuck upstairs.
Indeed, we were lucky that night.
