                BASIC AMENITIES REQUIRED IN UMUNGASI COMMUNITY

       It is with a great sense of urgency that I write this letter to you concerning the deplorable state of amenities in Unmungasi community.

      The people of Umungasi Community seem to be left behind in the scheme of things in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area. I dare to make this claim because the government has done nothing in terms of provision of basic infrastructure for the people of Umungasi in the last twenty years.

     The entire Umungasi community is threatened by erosion. Currently, Umunwafor area has been cut off from the rest of the community due to the menace of erosion.

     Secondly, Umungasi community lacks access roads that link one village to another. It is currently very difficult to access some very interior areas in Umungasi using a motor vehicle due to poor road network.

    Lastly, Umungasi community lacks pipe-borne water. The only source of water in the entire Umungasi community are three streams in three strategic villages of Umungasi community. This explains the reason for the prevalence of cholera, typhoid and other water borne diseases in Umungasi community.

   I humbly request that your administration should swiftly address these immediate challenges facing the people of Umungasi community in order to assure us that the government really cares about its people.
