Ndongo Ndiaye grew up in an African village about 130 miles (209 kilometers) east of Dakar, Senegal. Life is not easy there. Much of the country is poor, and jobs are hard to find. Ndiaye heard adults talking about going to new places to get better jobs. He hoped to do the same. And he did. Ndiaye played basketball for a living. He played professionally in the United States, Lebanon, and Japan. Now, he is back in his home country, Senegal, and he is helping other young African basketball players. Do It!
