Please help me answer this question. The theme is a message about life that the author of a story is trying to convey to the readers. Please re-read the following parts of the story and write what do you think a possible theme could be. Explain your answer.
“You are weird. But that’s the cool part that nobody tells you. The very thing that makes you a strange is the very thing that will save the world. You aren’t super despite being weird. You are super because you are weird and weird people change the world.”

“Absolutely! That weird thing about you is the very thing that will save the city. That’s how it works. So, just own it. Be odd. Because it’s the outcastes and the weirdos and the odd ducks that change the world. Nobody ever says, ‘Look at that superhero. She’s so amazingly normal.’ Your freakish cheesy arms saved the day, Tony.”

“We Wear the Mask” would have been interpreted as subjective and emotional if Dunbar had used more informal language and fewer structural elements. Simpler words would have been more accessible to his audience. However, the formal structure allows all Americans to relate to the poem, no matter their race. The formal structure is evident in the following lines:

In this case, Dunbar uses an old English word, nay—not likely a word that every African American at the time knew. Dunbar uses such formal language and structure to present his point of view in an objective manner to readers.
