Read this parable: Bert had never fought in a duel before, but he liked to challenge
people to a duel to get his way. No one ever accepted his
challenge, however, because they were afraid. They just gave Bert
whatever he wanted instead. Finally, Bert challenged a stranger
to a duel, not knowing that the stranger was a master duelist. The
stranger accepted the challenge, which shocked Bert. He ran
away crying and lost everyone's respect.
