“Hey thx for covering my shift. I know that you are trying to get off work but, this episode was so good. Thx you the absolute best ever.” Carly sent. “No problem”, I wrote back. I was just off. That day I worked 17 hours and was s tired. My job is working at Chick-fil-a. It is a lot. I love it but, I mean really? 17 hours? Anyways, I pulled up in my drive way and my mom is standing there. Cleary mad and upset. She starts yelling that it is 9:30 at night, and goes on and on. I got up and told her firmly that I was working so that I can afford to eat because all she does is sit around.
She looked me back and went on and on. “Why are you so mouthy, Emma?!” she yelled. “Because I just got off from working 17 hours and they want me to come back tomorrow at 8, I am only going back because someone cheated and doesn’t have a job. I am trying to pay the bills and afford to eat at 18.” I yelled at the top of my voice. “I am sorry that I can’t get a job because…. Well…. I don’t know it’s just too much.” She started to calm down but, I didn’t. “Well, I am out I am 18, I can do what I want and I have enough money for now, I will pick up 2 jobs!” I screamed at that point. “You are not leaving me!” she screamed back. “I AM 18, I CAN LEAVE IF I WANT TO!” I screamed. I went to pack. Fast forward about 20 years, I have a house in The Hills, married, have kids, and haven’t spoken to my mom in 20 years. “Ring, Ring, Ring” the phone went off. “Hello.” I said in a calm voice. “Emma is it really you?” someone said. My eyes widened “Mom?!” I said.
