-Horses are better workers than donkeys.
The horses were able to work so hard during the day on the farm, even the motto of one of them (Boxer) was "I will work harder", in change, donkeys did very slow its work and the didn't offer to work overtime.
-The pigs use language and propaganda as tools
The pigs that administrated the farm were so smart that they send the doves to anther farms with the purpose of extending the farm's slogan and convince the animals to join to the rebellion

Some of the main ideas developed in chapter 3 and 4 of Animal Farm are that "the pigs use language and propaganda as tools" to ensure their own pleasures and benefits above the other animals in a way that they accept and don't argue the reasons. This can be clearly seen in chapter 3 when the animals discovered that the milk was being mixed everyday in the pigs' food and when the pigs also required that the windfall apples must be given to them, instead of splitted equally with the others.
They used manipulated arguments to mislead the animals and ensure their motives, saying that they were not being selfish, besides that most of the animals didn't even like the milk and apple taste, but its reason why was their need of nutrients to nourish their minds so they could keep the success of the farm, since they were considered the most capable to direct and supervise everyone works (instead of doing any). Besides they argued that if the pigs got sick they would be at risk of going back to their old way of life under the farmer Mr. Jones authority. Because of the animals lack of fast learning and understanding, they kept vulnerable and manipulated by the pigs that could govern them freely and corruptingly.
Other main idea is that "only the pigs were able to learn to read and write", which was rapidly noticed by the animals much lower habilities to read, write and understand the teachings and rules presented to them in the debates, classes and committees, making the pigs in need to simplify their commandments. The pigs intelligence and smartness are noticed in chapter 3 when they create and submit resolutions for debate, also when they use the harness room to study skills as carpentry and blacksmithing, or when they organize the animals into the committees for the classes of reading and writing.
It is also seen in chapter 4 when the pigs start to spread the story of their rebellion success to encourage their neighbors. The animals were ready to fight back when the farmer Mr. Jones assembled men to reclaim Animal Farm, because the pigs, mostly Snowball, studied Julius Caesar campaigns leading their defense and counter attack of their approaching.
