What 15 sentences include literacy devices? Born to Bike
When I moved to Canada, I was not familiar with riding a two wheeled bike.
Riding a bike was like climbing mount Everest. Every time I would get on the
bike I'd fall. It started off with wearing a helmet as my parents were holding
the bike trying to balance it as I paddle. I kept on falling multiple times, and I
would get mad at myself for not knowing how to bike. Especially since all the
kids around me at the park already knew how to bike. It felt that I was a blot
in the landscape. I continued to get up and face my problems by practicing on
the grass. When I began to practice on the grass, I fell a few times and went
home muddy. After a couple of days of practicing, I was able to balance. It
was a challenge for me to bike on the sidewalk because of all the injuries that I
previou got. Then I started to slowly alternate between the sidewalk and
ses. After two days of doing that, I was able to bike on the sidewalk. As
I continued to practice every single day, I became better and better and was
able to bike one handed. I started to bike far distance with my friends. I was
as free as a bird, going wherever I want and being with whoever, I want to be
with. We would bike for hours. Even when we got tired, our legs were sore, we
needed a break we kept on going. We were like little kittens that never
wanting to return home. Especially when we were far away from home and
have curfew. After knowing how to bike for a couple of years I was able to get
the bike that I always wanted. I was like the little kid who kept on checking up
on it. I was able to buy accessories for it, like a lock and a basket and a water
bottle holder. I got to participate in several marathons. It looked as if we were
murmuring away. At the last marathon I participated at, I was able to achieve
one of my biggest goals by placing third.
