I'm not sure if I remember correctly but I think it has something to do with being guilty about her sons murder. "What, will these hands ne'er be clean?" I revised that into "what, will these hands never be clean." Which my guess comes in at her guilt for Duncan's murder. If this helps let me know, if it doesn't my apologies.
