The definition of a monster can vary depending on the person you ask the question to. However, they are generally considered to have certain common characteristics. Monsters are generally grotesque or ugly creatures. They are usually considered scary, and most of the time, evil. Common examples of monsters are werewolves, mutants, mummies and zombies. Sometimes, we refer to humans as monsters too, in order to indicate that these are ugly, unlikeable and evil. In my case, I would consider a serial killer an example of a monster.
