2. Immigrants can bring their culture to the US, and open new doors to learning. If we, as people, can put aside our differences- then we can grow and learn to understand other people. We can learn about their food, religion, everyday lives, etc.

Examples include Chinese food in San Francisco, Thai food in Seattle, the Cuban sandwich in Miami, and southwestern cuisine in Arizona and New Mexico. In many cases, a city’s “signature” foods come from dishes brought by immigrant groups. Immigrants also can bring new games, sports, and pastimes to their new homes. One example is bocce, which Italians brought to neighborhoods in Philadelphia and New York. Games and hobbies can become an important part of a city’s culture.
