Being shy, anxious, sympathetic, hostile, or distracted can affect your relationship with others due to having other thoughts in mind and not maintaining focus with the surroundings around you (friends, workplace, etc). This type of behavior can affect a career as a provider because you have to stay focused at all times to ensure safety for patients & to make sure they get the treatment they need.

The healthcare professionals can take following measures in order to improve partnership between the adult patient and the provider:

Use of preventive care services: it involves cousneling of patient, regular check-ups, and screenings to prevent illness, and other health-related problems.Promoting communication: promoting communication will lead to an  institutional culture and providing health care personnel training which will prevent the ratifying and stereotyping between the adult pateints experience. It will educate both the provider and adult patient to restrict the stereotype thinking.
