B. It caused the United States and the Soviet union to declare war on Germany
Explanation:
The role of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland during the Second World War was very important. The British prime minister for much of the contest, Winston Churchill, had a firm and clear stance, in which he would never surrender and fight to the end for the defeat of the enemy. In fact, it was the only country that fought throughout the war, from September 1, 1939 to September 2, 1945.
In the six years of the war, the United Kingdom was from the beginning at odds with Hitler, and later, against the Kingdom of Italy and Japan. In addition to being the scene of the Battle of England between 1940 and 1941, the country sent troops to fight in most of the battles against Germany in Western Europe, against Italy in North Africa and against Japan in the British colonies of the Pacific. During the second half of the war, the British helped greatly in the defeat of Italy during the invasion, were also present at the Normandy Landing to continue their advance to the Reich and carried out massive bombings over most of the German cities.
