Booker T. Washington said the African American people should prove they were worthy of the rights that the white men had, while Du Bois said they should demand those rights immediatly. Plz mark brainliest.

Both of them had the same goal, that was to reach equality, but they had different opinions on how to reach it.
Washington advocated for African Americans to concentrate on economic and social improvement. He believed that if the African Americans became productive members of society white Americans would preserve their rights. But at the same time, he defended social separation.
Du Bois believed that African Americans should have the opportunity of higher education and should fight for their rights. They should not wait for white Americans to give them rights and equality.
