Option B, they felt that it was an attempt to gain influence on the Supreme Court, is the right answer.
In 1937, The Judicial Procedures Reform Bill was introduced by the then president of the United States. This bill is also known as the "court-packing plan". It was a parliamentary action intended by Roosevelt, to add more magistrates to the Supreme Court of the United States. He introduced this reform bill because his many of the plans were overrun by the Supreme Court. This would enable him to pack the court with magistrates favorable to his plans. Hence, Critics considered the Judicial Reform Bill, as it would assert check of the judicial branch by the executive branch and would impede on the division of authorities.
