Traditional African marriage is an advantage for men and for women.
Explanation:
Most African regions that celebrate marriage are based on one premise: the family. An African marriage is this: the celebration of the concept of the family through the union of two people; the joining of two families and sometimes even two tribes.
As in the rest of the world, marriage in Africa is an event involving the family and the union of two people. There are many traditions relating to marriage in Africa, and none is the same as another. However, there is something in common, the bride always has a special role being always treated with due respect because it means a new possibility to continue the family. In some places, the groom's family moves in to the bride's village and sets up their house there.
In many places in Africa, women are taught from childhood to being good wives, even learning secret languages passed by older elders so they can only communicate about the problems of marriage without their husbands noticing what they say. Grooms, in general, are prepared early on to be ideal partners. In some tribes the older ones get together with the bride and give her wise advice for a happy marriage. Many girls go to schools where older mothers teach them how to be good wives.
