*This explanation is mainly for a feudal style kingdom as it was not specified however it does not differ much from modern society monarchies*
Simple laws for a kingdom would have to certainly follow a monarchical style set of laws. We could start off by statting the obvious, the king would always be at the top, as the chosen leader by God or in an oligarchy could also be the wealthiest man in the village or town.
For a Kingdom we'd need to follow a simple feudal style cast system implemented by many medieval civilizations, such as the Anglo-Saxons.
* In a feudal cast system we would have:
-God at the top as the main source of wisdom and authority in which guides the kingdom forwards to prosper (depending on the civilization this might change but it would be for the majority of medieval era kingdoms)
-Next up the King, chosen by God, could either be Absolute or controlled by the church, collects taxes from population to pay military, infrastructural and treasury spendings;
-Next up the church or the pantheon belief, which could in some cases be over the King. The church would most likely gather tithe for the prosperity and influence of the religion;
-Next up we have Earls and Noblemen, which are wealthy or influence characters in society which own vast amounts of land but work under the king. Earls cotrol areas called earldoms, which have their own armies and their own taxes, however are in the same kingdom. One example of an earldom is Wessex or Kent in Anglo-Saxon England;
-Next up we have Knights and Vassals, these work under Earls and the King, with less influence however more money and power than peasants and merchants. Most of the times help inforcing laws and battling as more skilled soldiers;
-Next up we have Merchants, Traders, Smiths and Farmers. These work to produce jobs and raise taxes for the kingdom. Think of them as business owners or figures medium influence on the population;
-Lastly we have Peasants and Slaves or Servants. These are the most of the population, the poorest of a society and the workers. Their role in society is to work to produce for merchants, traders, smiths and farmers so they can sell goods to other kingdoms (or themselves) and raise taxes to prosper.
A very important factor of a Kingdom is that the Natural order of things must NEVER BE BROKEN, in a Kingdom it is believed to be said that it keeps stability and avoids chaos. Whenever an aspect has changed in the natural order it is said to be treason and this could lead to persecution and murder.
Hope this helped you a little, but if you have time try watching some video lessons on it, sure it could help you understand clearer.
