Upper-class girls were raised differently from other girls in Roman society in a sense that, they received an education.
Explanation:
Roman society was extremely patriarchal and rigid. Girls and women during those time had no opportunities or decision making power.
However, the upper middle class girls were privileged to receive an education. There were many upper class women who were quite well educated and who were also praised and appreciated for their learning by male historians.
During the roman time, women had absolutely no power over politics, but those who were associated with wealthy and powerful families, did tried to exert influence. Apparently, education was something which was enjoyed by the upper middle class girls.
