The 1954 decision of brown v. board of education was one of the most important decisions of the us supreme court. the court argued that

The court argued that state-sanctioned segregation of public schools was a violation of the 14th amendment and was therefore unconstitutional. This meant that the doctrine of separate but equal had to end and that it was no longer possible for schools to deny enrollment based on race.

Frederick Douglass's main cause was to abolish slavery and he spoke from bitter experience since he was once a slave. Basically he became a great orator who condemned slavery and also he wrote several autobiographies sharing his experiences as a slave and why he was so opposed to it.
